Diego Gil Jr., Esq. was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, embarking on a path of unwavering public service and a relentless pursuit of justice. Diego is bilingual and fluent in Spanish. Mr. Gil began this journey as a Master at Arms and Military Police Officer in the United States Navy in 2003, serving two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, attached to Joint Task Force Guantanamo from 2005 to 2007.

Following an honorable discharge, Mr. Gil made the decision to relocate to Cape Coral, Florida, to be closer to family and to pursue higher education, furthering his career in the legal field.

**Education and Credentials:**

Diego Gil Jr., Esq.'s steadfast commitment to justice led to the pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Southwest Florida College. During this academic journey, he discovered a true calling for the law. His passion for justice was further ignited during an internship with the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida, where he witnessed the profound impact of a dedicated attorney on people's lives.

This experience served as the catalyst for Mr. Gil's decision to enroll at Ave Maria School of Law, where an unwavering dedication to the study of law flourished. During this period, he was honored with the prestigious Robert Bork Appellate Competition award, reflecting exceptional legal skills. Additionally, Diego Gil Jr., Esq. had the privilege of serving as the President of the Veterans Law Student Association on campus, further cementing his commitment to veterans' rights and advocacy.
